Tooth decay, or dental caries, is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide. Untreated dental caries can cause pain and infections, affecting general health and quality of life. Fortunately, tooth decay can be prevented with proper toothbrushing and flossing, reduced sugar intake, and preventive dental treatments such as the use of fluoride.

However, there are various disadvantaged groups in Hong Kong lack oral health support and dental care. Thus, Modern Dental Global Foundation and Modern Dental Group co-organize the “Angel Smile Scaling Project” to provide complimentary dental scaling service to low-income families that lack dental care in Hong Kong.
